The Valet by Davis Morton

Listening to his unseen friend, the patron in this restaurant pays no attention to the ominous waiter who has begun to clear the table. He also doesn't see the valet beyond the window in a different world. And as my well-intentioned hero, the valet is also blind to the reflections of reality that surround him, as he waits for more than just another car to park.
But the truth is, Godot might not be coming. There is no time to only wait for something else to save us from ourselves because all of the walls that we've put up are no more substantial, or less fragile, than a single piece of glass.
